Tabernacle: 1. A house or dwelling-place. 2. A portable shrine. 3. The human body. 4. The sacred tent; the movable tent-temple erected for the service of God, according to the "pattern" shown by God. Called "the tabernacle of the congregation," rather "of meeting", the "tabernacle of the testimony", which does not, however, designate the whole structure, but only the enclosure which contained the "ark of the testimony"; the "tabernacle of witness"; the "house of the Lord"; the "temple of the Lord"; a "sanctuary".
Behold the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His People, and God Himself shall be with them and be their God.
