when the vehicle was new, it was clean - and the experience everyone was having TOGETHER went way beyond the individuals capacity to comprehend/understand at a rate equal to the scenery that was speeding by... this was new terrain, yet went unexplained... no one was stepping up to provide any education about what really goes on behind-the-scenes, or 'how to drive the vehicle,' as this would defeat the 'control' that the 'designated drivers' wielded over those who were 'on for the ride'...

but the more everyone saw, the more everyone wanted to participate, instead of merely observing... and pretty soon, everyone wanted to 'drive the bus'... we didn't want to just listen to the music, we wanted to play it - we didn't want to just watch the movies, we wanted to be in them - we didn't want to just observe an event, we wanted to be involved... this presented a problem for the 'designated drivers,' because to allow this meant giving up control... but the passengers were getting restless in their seats, and something had to be done... diversion was the tactic, maintaining control was the aim...

in this way, countless cultural and commercial mutations occured, and the rift between 'drivers' and 'passengers' got wider and wider, until star-based media created a crippling ego-imbalance equal in proportion to its massive audience - with whole generations getting stranded 'up the creek' (mass-media) 'without a paddle' (media education)... with inferiority complexes, low self-esteem, depression, and a myriad of other psychological disorders as a result of materialistic/ego-based/star-based mass media overload...

the net was the point where everyone finally had a genuine opportunity to GET OFF THE BUS... and the 'designated drivers' tried as hard as they could to divert, detain, distract, and dillute this event - where vehicles like AOL, MSN, Yahoo, etc. (a new model of the same old babylonian bus), instead of helping everyone learn to drive, said GO TO THE BACK OF THE BUS and PAY US FOR YOUR SEAT A G A I N (even tho everyone already paid a hundred times over without even getting off the bus)...

again this is not about judgement on what has been - this is about getting a clear perspective of how this mechanism works in order to move forward with what has been learned... we have all been part of it, we all (for the most part) enjoyed the thrills of the ride... but the bus is over crowded, unhealthy, without a destination... and the bus is ONLY IN OUR MINDS, THE BUS RIDES ON US... this was the secret all along - the soul thing that could never be revealed, else the whole 'tower of babel' would topple...
